Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT: Getting started with Digital Membership Cards
Updated over a week ago

Congratulation! You're one step closing to rolling out digital membership cards to your members.
This guide will teach you how to use Cuseum's system in conjunction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to get up and running and manage your digital membership initiative and further streamline the process.

Granting access

First, we'll need to integrate with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.
Integrations between Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and Cuseum’s Digital Membership solution involve a few steps and cooperation between both parties. In order to access your Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and initial the integration process, we will need you to set-up a new system user on Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT and your Blackbaud account for our development team to use, and provide us with some basic information.

Having this access will allow our team to help, test, and troubleshoot efficiently and save your team time by eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth.

Please be prepared to grant Cuseum access to the following:

  • Raiser's Edge NXT Database View

  • Web View

  • Blackbaud.com

Please use the following details to create a user for Cuseum:

We will need the following information from you:

You will be able to provide this information thru the Onboarding / Project Management system which we will review together during our Kick-Off meeting.

Setting up your integration

To extend the functionality of your Blackbaud products, your organization can use additional applications created by Blackbaud, Providers in the Blackbaud Partner Marketplace, someone at your organization, and other approved external developers.

To manage apps for your organization, select Control Panel, Applications. Under Connected apps, you can view details about each application added, including the developer organization.

To use an application, enable it with its unique ID — acquired from the developer — under Connected apps. Simply enter the ID, and then click Save.

Applications can only be added by Admin users!

API Developer Agreement

If you, the Blackbaud customer, have never worked with Blackbaud SKY API or 3rd party access, Blackbaud may require you to sign an API developer agreement. Blackbaud’s API developer agreement is in line with most developer agreements (like when we use Stripe, Google Analytics, or any 3rd-party).

After Cuseum Digital Membership Solution for Raiser's Edge NXT has been added to your system and we’re granted all required access, Cuseum will attempt to fetch your members data into Cuseum CMS.

You may be required to authorize approve this SKY API access through Raiser’s Edge NXT. When someone at your organization first uses an enabled application, they authorize its access to data, respecting their security rights.

As soon as you finish the integration process, please contact Support to finish up the process.
