Manually Refreshing the App Follow
To view the changes that you have made to the app, first make sure that you've clicked the "Clear cache" button in the top right of the CMS after you've made the changes you want to preview (without pressing this button, all changes will be pushed to the app automatically within about 4 hours). Next, open the app on your device and access the main menu at the top right corner of the home screen.
1. Settings
Find the Settings button near the bottom of the menu. Press and hold the button for about five seconds.
After five seconds have passed, release the Settings button and a new Dev button should appear at the bottom of the menu.
Tap the Dev button to access the Dev Panel.
2. Synchronize and Reconnect
You will see Synchronize & Reconnect (#) as a menu option. The decreasing number indicates the number of seconds until the app will automatically update, and it resets every five minutes or so. To manually refresh the app, simply tap on Synchronize & Reconnect (#).
A box will appear once the app has finished updating. Press Continue to begin using the app with your recent changes!
3. Shake to Update
At the bottom of the Dev Panel menu, you will also see an option to turn on the Shake to update feature. Turning this feature on will allow you to refresh the app without having to access the Dev Panel every time you make a change in the CMS. The feature allows you to manually refresh while you are on any page within the app.
When the Shake to update option is turned on, you can refresh the app by lightly shaking your device. A loading box will appear, indicating that the app is updating. When the box disappears, it means that the app is ready to go with your recent changes!
That's it! Your app has been updated with your most recent changes!
