First Steps Follow
Everything you need to know to get started.
Welcome to Cuseum!
In this guide, you'll learn how to customize and edit your Cuseum-powered app. First, let's get down to basics. Here's what you need to know about your:
Your Cuseum Account
If you already have an account, you can simply login to Cuseum with your email and password to get started. If you don't have an account, create one.
USER TYPE | DESCRIPTION |
Museum admin | No permissions or restrictions to what the user can view or edit with Cuseum. |
Your Dashboard
Your Cuseum dashboard is your content management system (CMS). What exactly is a CMS? The CMS is cloud-hosted application that allows you to edit, delete and publish content in an intuitive, easy-to-use format.
In the next tutorial of this guide, we'll take a quick tour of your dashboard.
Your Test App
The preview app is essentially a test version of your app that is not available to the public. The app is synced with your dashboard, so you can test out any changes you make in real time.
Upon creating your account, Cuseum sends you an email with a link to download the preview app on your phone. Didn't get the email? Contact us.
Later in this section, you'll learn how to enable the preview app to work on your iPhone.
Beacons
Basically, beacons are tiny transmitters. With Cuseum, you can associate a beacon to a physical object or location in your museum. The beacon can then prompt a mobile notification based on a visitor's location in relation to that physical object.
The last tutorial in this section contains everything you need to know about using beacons in your museum.
