We recommend having access to at least a 5 Mbps connection (low-end broadband) or 3G/4G access from cellular providers. With this connection, users can download and install the app in less than a minute and view video and audio files within the application.

To test your network speed, please visit www.speedtest.net from your mobile device and download their test application from the Apple App Store, or open their website in your phone's browser.

Download Speed and Estimated App Download Time for a 21 MB App

Download Speed | Avg Time (21 MB App)

5 Mbps = 41 seconds
15 Mbps = 13 seconds
25 Mbps = 8 seconds

Once the user has installed the app and opens it, the video/audio data will begin to synchronize. However, longer videos will increase the data download size. Below is an estimate of the time required to download 30 MB of data into the app.

Download Speed and Estimated Time for 30 MB of Data

Download Speed | Avg Time (30 MB)

5 Mbps = 58 seconds
15 Mbps = 19 seconds
25 Mbps = 11 seconds

By combining the numbers above, we get the estimated total completion time for the user to download and sync the app (see below).

Estimated Completion Time for App Download and Synchronization

Download Speed | App is synchronized*

5 Mbps = 99 seconds
15 Mbps = 22 seconds
25 Mbps = 11 seconds

If we take Speedtest's 2024 global internet speed standards, apps in general should load extremely fast considering the average download speed in 2024 is above 90 Mbps for broadband and 56 Mbps for mobile data (please note this may vary a lot depending on the country you are located in).

Note: Estimates are based on 80% efficiency on a network. However, WiFi interference and other unavoidable circumstances may affect performance. The application has been designed to be as bandwidth-efficient as possible, but performance cannot be guaranteed on heavily trafficked networks. We recommend consulting your IT/Network Manager for further information.
